TechForce Technology provides a Senior Service Delivery Manager and a Service Delivery Coordinator to provide oversight of the support team. Desktop Support Services

TechForce Technology provides support services for our client's computers, peripherals and software throughout its desktop infrastructure. Our technicians take ownership of service requests escalated from the central help desk and routine operational activities as directed by the TechForce Technology Service Delivery Manager and Service Delivery Coordinator. TechForce Technology Desktop Support technician’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following high-level functions:

  • Receipt and processing of individual service calls (tickets) through their ordinal path
  • Qualification (if necessary) of service calls prior to assignment to technicians
  • Reassignment of service calls routed to the break / fix queue in error to other functional areas as required
  • Installation of licensed and approved hardware and software
  • Software Imaging and Desktop Image Management
  • Desk-side software problem diagnosis and repair, configuration and training
  • Remote software problem diagnosis and repair
  • Database support
  • Hand-held device support
  • Blackberry support

Break / Fix Services

TechForce Technology provides break/fix and depot repair support services for our client’s computers, peripherals and printers throughout its desktop infrastructure. TechForce Technology maintains its status as business partners with the industry’s primary desktop equipment manufacturers. TechForce Technology also maintains current individual technical certifications as well as its authorized service repair center status for these manufacturers. Examples include Dell, HP and IBM . Maintaining status as an authorized service repair center allows TechForce Technology access to warranty tracking and maintenance systems, processes and records for major manufacturers such as Dell (Dell Warranty Parts Direct) and HP (HP/Compaq Channel Services Network).

TechForce Technology Break/Fix support team members have backgrounds in low-level computer repair and are Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+ Certified technicians. TechForce Technology Break/Fix Support technician’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following high-level functions:

  • Receipt and processing of individual service calls (tickets) through their ordinal path
  • Qualification (if necessary) of service calls prior to assignment to technicians
  • Reassignment of service calls routed to the break / fix queue in error as required
  • Diagnosis of customer’s computing problem utilizing manufacturer provided diagnostic tools, skills acquired via official training and individual experience
  • Locate, procure, distribute and install the required component(s)
  • Repair and service of distributed production desktop computing equipment
  • Repair and service of production mainframe equipment (if applicable)
  • Coordinate “loaner or interim” equipment process to restore desk-side functionality as quickly as possible
  • Asset recovery and relocation of production computing equipment
  • Tracking of warranty, maintenance and compliance
  • Hardware performance trend analysis
  • Provide status updates to the customer as (required)
  • Provide informational break/fix updates to Client’s IT Management as required
  • Provide hardware performance trend analysis reports to Client’s IT Management as required
  • Assist Client’s IT Management in cost saving measures where possible (i.e., identify and communicate cost of repair versus cost of replacement)
  • Receipt support and distribution of Client’s IT related hardware to the various locations (if applicable)
  • Maintenance of Client-critical stock levels for twenty-four/seven operations

Central Receiving/Distribution Operations

TechForce Technology Central Receiving Division is a full service materials handling and distribution platform. Our staging/logistics personnel are experienced in all phases of inbound (receiving and returns) and outbound operations (packaging and shipping). This is a corporate facility dedicated to the receipt, proper establishment of asset management internal controls and prompt communication of receipts/distribution to Client oversight personnel.

In addition to our corporate receiving resources, TechForce Technology has the capability to utilize on-site personnel to interface with our Asset Management Team to identify, (tag and cross-reference asset attributes) to purchase documents and provide comprehensive reports of capital/controlled assets which have been received at the facility.

TechForce Technology has without incident, received secured, imaged and deployed thousands of technology components to various clients. In many cases, the volume of IT equipment located within our warehouse facility has exceeded ten-thousand (10,000) devices. As a matter of standard procedure, TechForce Technology Central Receiving personnel perform the following high-level functions:

  • Reconciles the shipper’s packing slip to the items received and reports any variances to both the client and the vendor delivering the equipment.
  • Inspect the external packaging for damages
  • Document and reconcile damaged product to the return materials authorizations and then to the receipt of replacement product(s).
  • Coordinate delivery of Client’s product to proper signature authority personnel

Project Support Services

TechForce Technology offers a range of staff augmentation and cost reduction solutions for technology departments. TechForce Technology is staffed with experienced desktop engineers that provide on-going support services such as product procurement and deployment, IMAC (installs, moves, adds, changes) Desktop and Help Desk support services. TechForce Technology offers several IMAC options:

Dedicated On-Site Engineer(s)

TechForce Technology provides full-time resources that reside on-site with the client’s team. These resources are dedicated 100% in support of the Client's IT infrastructure.. Typically, this option is ideal for clients because it offers the highest level of service by having the engineer(s) available on-site and familiar with the client’s configurations, personnel, and procedures, resulting in a cost-effective usage of time and resources. Clients are typically charged on a monthly fee basis for this option.

Time and Materials

TechForce Technology provides resources on an as-needed basis to augment the client’s staff. Clients are typically charged on an hourly rate basis.

Special Projects

TechForce Technology provides resources on an as-needed basis to perform specific projects. Clients have several options for charges, including on an hourly rate basis, fixed-price basis or cost-plus basis.
